Workshop “Create your Buffalo Drum”

A little extra information about our workshop.

If possible we will start around 10am and finish around 5pm, please provide a packed lunch.
We work with natural materials: hair on Buffalo skin (40cm), birch frame and flax/hemp cord.
For the Drum Staff and Handle you need a piece of wood, which is also available, but it might be nice if it comes your way somewhere.
The handle consists of a Y-junction, preferably 2cm thick and 15cm long, you can feel for yourself whether it fits well in your hand.
As a drum staff you also need something that feels good, a guideline can be 35cm long and 2cm thick > all dimensions are approximate.
You can remove the bark (if you wish) so that the wood can dry.

We take two days for this workshop to be sure you go home with all the work finished and to have some time to connect with your New Partner on an Energetic level.

We use hides (40cm) with the hair still on, if you would like you can shave the hair yourself as you wish once the Drum is completely dried out
